Three Generations Shopping
We love our customers. Especially when they span three generations! Nothing like a family trip to Construction Junction to teach the youngsters the value of conservation and the importance of reuse. Plus it's fun!!
The CJ Buzz
Bonnie, who manages our donations, has given me a very good buzz... we have nine, yes I said nine, kitchen sets on their way into Construction Junction. This is in addition to the six new kitchen sets we have listed in this week's Blast. I think Bonnie said they were all coming in next week. Can we even pick up nine kitchen sets in one week? I don't know but we'll find out.
David, the main instigator for our Steel City Big Pour event scheduled for Septembeer 13th, has given me another very good buzz... tickets for the event will go on sale starting August 1st. Check back here - to our website for information on how to purchase tickets.
Thank you Kathleen, Carol, Alexis and Nicole.

CJ Q&A
Do you know of anyplace that recycles fluorescent tubes? What about neon tubing? -- Matt
When I first read this question I thought I quickly found a whole bunch of recycling options for fluorescent bulbs but I neglected to make the important distinction between compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) and fluorescent tubes. Recycling CFLs has become pretty easy these days but fluorescent tubes remain a challenge. We searched the internet and talked with experts. The table below outlines what we found. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to identify any specific options for recycling neon tubing.
Thank you Michael Stepaniak of PRC for your help. We also found the resources listed below to be of value. -- Cozmo
