CJ receives Heinz Endowments grant

Construction Junction is extremely happy to share some wonderful news that we received just today! A grant application we submitted to the Heinz Endowments for $300,000 has been APPROVED!

This funding will support upgrades to our building as well as provide for strategic capital equipment needs. For example, think heat in winter, a cleaner retail floor, demonstrated green building methods and an all around improved shopping experience. Thank you Heinz Endowments.

The CJ Buzz

CJ's pick up schedule is completely booked for the next few weeks. Why is this buzz worthy? Well it means that tons of stuff is on its way into the store. Simply put... a packed pick up schedule = a packed store.

Remember... Construction Junction will be closed on Monday May 26th for the Memorial Day holiday. We'll also be closing an hour early (at 4 pm), on Wednesday May 28th. All of CJ's staff is headed to the Westin to celebrate our recently received environmental award and we need some time to spiff ourselves up!

CJ closed for Memorial Day

Please remember that Construction Junction will be closed on Monday May 26th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

CJ closing early Wednesday May 28th

Construction Junction will be closing early (4 pm) on Wednesday May 28th so that all staff has adequate time to get down to the Westin William Penn where we'll be celebrating our recent selection as a winner of the 2008 Western Pennsylvania Environmental Awards.

Hi, I was wondering if you happened to have any wooden, or even metal porch swings - by themselves - we have a frame. I don't know if you anwer emails like this one, but I missed store hours for calling - so If you are able to e back, great - otherwise I will call during those hours - when I get a chance. Hi Becky. We don't really ever get swingset swings... the kind one person sits on. But we do, on occassion, get porch swings. Usually they're made out of wood. In fact, we have one in the store now, or at least we did as of yesterday (May 22, 2008) when I was in taking pictures for this very Blast. Best of luck. -- Cozmo
